Not accurate gives different result after retesting
Hi Brigitte, thank you for sharing your experience. Variations between repeat tests can come from several factors — the amount of blood in the sample, finger technique, test strip storage, and timing of the reading all affect results. We'd like to help you get more consistent readings: please contact our support team and we'll send replacement strips along with a quick reference guide on proper sampling.
Machine results vary making it difficult to rely on readings. It is very sensitive to how it is used. One suggestion: put a reading delay after blood is added to test strip. It would seem that the reading is taken too quickly after the first drop of blood hits the strip. If there was a delay of a second or two, it would give enough time for the sample to be homogenous before the reading is taken and might result in more consistency my results.

Regarding the reading variations you mentioned, please note that readings are generally not fixed and may vary within a certain range, which is normal.
Additionally, our machine is designed to be highly sensitive to blood samples for quick hemoglobin detection. As a result, the blood sample needs to be applied promptly to the test strip to ensure fast and accurate readings.

I’m giving a 4 rating as when comparing to blood drawn for a CBC count and the finger prick accuracy is 3 out of 5 times or roughly 70% accurate. I am anemic and need a more at home method that doesn’t require having blood drawn weekly. The kit is very easy to use, just needs to be closer in accuracy.

The misspellings are a big deal, but the kit should be clearer about the two capsules - one containing a couple calibrating strips and the other containing test strips. The images in the booklet look more like the calibrators too. Other than that, the kit is easy to use and works well!

This little machine gives me so much comfort. After a visit to the emergency room, a little bit more knowledge and research about anemia and me understanding that I am getting a bit older, I knew I had to take a little more control over my health. This machine is small and very easy to use. I keep track of my hemoglobin on a weekly basis and it's going up! I'm very close to being out of the danger zone. I really love this machine- the only thing (and this doesn't affect my rating at all) is that I think I ordered too many test strips and there is a chance.the ones left over will expire. Again, that has nothing to do with the machine or company. I am super glad that I invested the money in this. If you want to monitor your hemoglobin, you should get this machine. Thank you!

Their video how/to resources are very helpful for first-time setup. Check your emails for the links and don't overlook them. Readings matched my lab result exactly (within 1 week of each other). Custom case is a nice touch. The only thing that I should have paid better attention is that strips expire within 3 mos of opening, so I should have bought smaller containers instead of the larger one. I don't need it that often. Simple & accurate. I could not have asked for better.

This unit will test actual ferritin levels and provide a number? I have iron deficency without anemia. Feeritin is currently at 14. Will this need an app to tell me results?
