What is advantage of hemoglobin Meter?

Using a hemoglobin meter at home is more convenient than going to a hospital. You can test your hemoglobin level anytime and anywhere without leaving home. Home hemoglobin meters are safer — you don’t have to worry about infection or privacy. Your condition is kept to yourself.

What is the test range of hemoglobin meter?

The meter can test a range from 4.5 – 25.6 g/dL.

Is the meter accurate?

Results within 15% of the lab reading are considered accurate.

What is accurate level this meter can reach?

• 4.5 – 10.0 g/dL: deviation ≤ ±1 g/dL
• 10.1 – 25.6 g/dL: deviation ≤ ±10%

What do I need to do to prepare for the test?

No fasting or lifestyle changes are required. Do not discontinue any medication without consulting your physician first.

How to use the hemoglobin meter at home?
  1. Prepare the lancing device
  2. Insert the code chip
  3. Check the code number matches the test strip
  4. Insert the test strip into the slot
  5. The screen will blink — the meter is waiting for a blood sample
  6. Wipe your finger with an alcohol swab, press the lancet, and squeeze for enough blood
  7. Use the 10μL capillary transfer tube to collect blood and squeeze it into the strip slot
  8. After adding the sample, the result appears within 10 seconds
  9. Remove the sterile lancet after testing

How much blood is needed for the test? How do I know if blood samples is correct volume?

Required blood volume: 10μL. Fill the Capillary Transfer Tube to the black line. Too little or too much blood may cause inaccurate results.

Does this give iron levels in the blood?

No. This meter measures hemoglobin concentration only. It does not increase or measure iron content in the blood.

Does this check for hemoglobin levels specifically or a1c?

It is specifically designed to detect hemoglobin levels, not A1C.

How long is the shelf life of test strip and meter?

Test strips: 2-year shelf life. Once opened, use within 3 months.
Meter: No fixed shelf life — it is a long-term reusable device.

Do the meter and strips come with warranty? How long it is?

Meters come with a 1-year warranty. Test strips have no warranty as they are disposable items.

Do I need to do anything to active my guarantee?

No activation is needed. Your warranty information is registered in our system before shipment.

How long do I have before making a return?

You have 30 days from receipt to return items. Returns postmarked after 30 days will not be accepted.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

There is no handling fee, but return shipping is not free. You must send the item back within 30 days of purchase.

How do I make a return?

Email us at info@medasia.store for the return address. Returns are sent to our USA warehouse only. Do not send to the sender’s address on your package.

Can I still return items if they are worn, damaged, or have the tags removed?

Items must be unworn, undamaged, with original tags/packaging attached and hygiene sticker intact.

Are there any other considerations for returning?

Please do not send your return to the sender’s address on your package. Send only to the address we provide by email. Do not include non-Medasia items in your return package.
