It as accurate as I thought. Tested my hemoglobin it was 6.9 went to the emergency room and there it was 6.5. Big difference in less than two hours.

I have used 13 test strips to get 4 hemoglobin values. I almost always get a display of E-1 or E-2. This is very frustrating.

Twice, we’ve tested this home meter with Lab result - same day, 2 hours apart. Your gadget was off both times by a full point; once higher and once lower. For my Dad, whose “norm” is in the 7 range, this isn’t reassuring. So we don’t use it anymore, requiring a drive to a Lab every time he’s "feeling low." I wish hemoglobin home meters were as accurate as home blood glucose meters. I wasted $300 and can’t recommend this to anyone needing an accurate reading.

Please kindly note that our home hemoglobin meter has an acceptable error margin of 10%. There are several factors that may cause test deviations, such as sample collection, operation steps. A 1-point difference is usually due to inconsistent blood samples.

I have high Hematocrit and have tested this against the labs several times. The test strips tend to run between 5-10 points lower than the real numbers? Kinda defeats my purpose....
Update: I've learned how to take better samples, but still reads about 5 low for ME.?

I have not been able to get the same results - this meter shows considerably lower. Will try to find the reasons. But otherwise, the meter operates well and the blood collection process is easier.

If you use an expired strip, the meter may not recognize it (so you can’t measure) or give wrong results. But no need to worry:
All our test strips are from fresh batches.
Unopened strips have a 2-year shelf life.
We also sell individual strips separately, so you won’t have to deal with expired ones.
