People's Experience on Kidney Disease

ROBE

On September 2020, following symptoms are visible: shortness of breath, fatigue, swelling of the abdomen, hips & ankles, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, excessive urination at night, irregular heartbeat, and wheezing cough. Diagnosis: CKD, CHF, HTN, DM. A little later had a gastrointestinal bleeding due to aspirin intake. Over time, my kidney function has shown significant improvement due to medication management, renal and diabetic dietary restrictions. My diabetes has been in remission for more than a year now. HbA1c is 5.3%. HTN is within normal range (130/80) +/- 5mmHg, and EFR has improved from 41 to 60. Below is my kidney function's historical data.

Dialysis is tough mentally and physically. WITH A BROKEN HEART AND TEARS IN EYES. NOTHING IS MORE PAINFUL THAN TRYING TO SMILE AND REMAIN POSITIVE, BUT AFTER A DIALYSIS SESSION - A PERSON PHYSICALLY CHANGES AND THEY SUFFER WITH SADNESS. FOR ALL THE MEN AND WOMEN I KNOW, I ASK YOU A SMALL FAVOR - I KNOW ONLY SOME OF YOU WILL DO IT. IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO HAS LED A BATTLE AGAINST KIDNEY FAILURE, STILL STRUGGLING OR WHO PASSED, PLEASE ADD THIS TO YOUR STATUS FOR ONE HOUR AS A MARK OF SUPPORT, RESPECT AND REMEMBRANCE.

Hi everyone, my husband is stage 5 Kidney disease, started on dialysis since around September. I have taken him to the hospital a few times already. He has pain in both of his thighs. You can actually feel some lumps or like little balls inside his thighs. He has unbearable pain and the hospital doesn't do anything to him other than give him into dialysis sessions. I am very desperate because I don't know how to help him. Has anyone gone through this? Doctors say it just extra fluid and I'm frustrated in the answer. But I don't know what to do now, but since I got a Kidney Function Test Machine from Medasia, I am about to test and know my husband body better. I feel grateful.

Hi all, my CKD has my attention. Last nephrologist appointment he said I was the most dehydrated person he has ever met, kidneys are 30% gone, and now my legs are swelling and feel very tight. Next appointment is next month, to repeat some test. But is leg tightness normal? I am forcing myself to drink no sugar drinks, eating six small meals a day, and exercising 5 days a week. I guess I keep thinking it will just go away. Believe me at 56... I am searching for support. So I bought Medasia's kidney function analyzer. Thanks for Medasia store, they are very helpful.

I had an aneurysm rupture in my stomach and had to be airlifted for emergency surgery. The surgery caused a blood clot in my leg so they had to take me back to surgery for that. Then about a year ago I found out I have CKD, my GFR is 28 and creatinine is 3.5. I said all that to say this. When I walk I tire very easily and start hurting all around my waist and my legs hurt really bad. Does anyone else experience this? Dr sent me for a MRI a couple weeks ago and I also have some slipped discs. I don't know which is causing my pain when I walk.
