People's Experience on High Cholesterol
Using this Cholesterol meter, I ran a Test on my blood. The results? My Total Cholesterol, and HDL Cholesterol, were both within medical limits, but my Triglycerides were LOW. What does that mean? I checked the instruction manual, and it said to repeat the test, and contact my Doctor. I repeated the Test, twice, and got the same result twice. My Triglycerides were LOW. I used another Cholesterol meter, from a different manufacturer to verify things. Sure enough, that Test indicated that my Triglycerides were LESS than 50. LOW Triglycerides are OK, and there was NO need to contact my Doctor. Proof that the Cholesterol Meter LPM-101 was indeed ACCURATE.
ALMOk so my dad is very sick. Headaches, nausea, weakness and all the other things. He was diagnosed with kidney disease, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. He won't see a specialist until September and they have yet to set him up with a dietician. Then I found Medasia on the Internet, and this knowledge page helped me a lot. I learned which foods can increase cholesterol and which ones can reduce high cholesterol. With the use of the cholesterol meter, my father has been better now!
KATLERI've used other Blood Cholesterol meters where you need to use individual finger pricks, and individual Cholesterol Test strips, for each type of test: HDL Cholesterol, Total Cholesterol, and Triglycerides. From those figures, LDL Cholesterol, VLDL Cholesterol, and Non-HDL Cholesterol can easily be calculated. With that being said, this Blood Lipid Analysis Meter makes testing things even: Easier, Quicker, Cheaper, and LESS Painful, too. The ability to do ALL 3 tests, with a single Blood sample, and a single Cholesterol Test strip, means that you only need to prick your finger ONCE. I LOVE this meter!
G.A.First of all, I didn't even know there is cholesterol meter out there. It comes with everything that you need! It's very easy to set up and easy to use. I didn't even have to read full user's manual. I read quick guide and followed it. Test strip connects with cholesterol meter very fast (about 1 second?) and it's ready to use. I actually compared the result with recent blood work that I just did this week in hospital lab. Surprisingly, measurement was very accurate. Now, I can check cholesterol whenever I want without visiting the hospital! Highly recommended.
